Residential Charging: The ‘Go-To’ Home Solution

We recommend the Evec 7.4kW Smart Charger (available in both tethered and untethered models) for its clean, aesthetic look and robust performance.

  • Aesthetic & Power - A clean, modern design that delivers a full charge overnight.
  • Smart Scheduling - Use the dedicated app to schedule charging during off-peak hours when electricity is cheapest.
  • Dynamic Load Management - Reduces the likelihood of nuisance tripping during simultaneous appliance use (subject to installation conditions).
  • Grant Ready Options - OZEV-compliant hardware may help eligible customers access available government support schemes (eligibility criteria apply).

The Solar-to-EV Intergration

The Solar-to-EV “Sunshine” Bundle

  • Drive for Less - Make more use of the electricity generated by your solar panels by prioritising surplus generation for vehicle charing.
  • Eco-Mode Priority - Your charger can automatically prioritise surplus solar energy before directing available soar-generated clean power to your car before drawing electricity from the grid.
  • Real-Time Tracking - Monitor estimated charging costs and track your EV cost-per-mile performance in real time via the integrated smartphone app.

Our EV + Solar Bundle features smart chargers that prioritise surplus solar energy from your panels, directing it to your vehicle battery where available.

This can reduce reliance on grid electricity for EV charging. You can monitor your self-consumption in real-time via our integrated app.

Commercial & Fleet: Engineering for ROI

From office car parks to heavy-duty depots, we provide scalable infrastructure designed to support efficient fleet operations and long-term cost optimisation, with potential return on investment depending on site usage and energy profile.

  • The VecBOLT Advantage - We specialise in DC Fast Chargers. These offer faster charging than AC chargers for quick turnarounds, but with lower capital costs.
  • Total Control (OCPP) – Using the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCCP), our systems can integrate with compatible existing software by third-party platforms or our white-label portal to manage billing, RFID access, and employee charing permissions.
  • Reporting & Billing - Full energy reporting and billing capabilities are built-in, allowing for seamless management of workplace charging.
  • Peak Saving Integration - Pair your EV charging with commercial battery storage to avoid higher-cost peak demand (Peak demand) during peak operating hours.

Commercial Deployment

We specialise in fleet infrastructure delivery and can target expedient mobilisation once scope and site requirements are confirmed.

National Fleet Power

Backed by a fleet of over 4,300 vehicles and over 40 operational centres we delivery scaleable nationwide deployment capability for EV charging installations across commercial and residential sites.

Support : Moving Your Business to Electric

Transitioning a fleet involves more than installing EV charging sockets. GGRS provides support services to help ensure your charging infrastructure aligns with your operational requirements and future growth.

  • Electrification Feasibility - We will collaborate with key partners who can support the audit of your fleet’s daily mileage and vehicle dwell times to recommend an appropriate mix of AC and DC charging solutions.
  • Grid Capacity (DNO) - We support load assessments and distribution network operator (DNO) applications to help ensure your site can support planned EV charging capacity whether for 10, 20, or 50+ chargers.
  • Energy Modelling - We provide modelling to estimate potential cost savings and identify projected break-even point where your fuel savings cover the cost of the installation based on assumptions such as energy tariffs. usage patterns and installation costs.
EV Charging FAQs
Are there still grants available for EV chargers?

Grant schemes such as the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) may be available depending on eligibility criteria and government funding at the time of application.

How fast is the installation process?

We pride ourselves on speed. Once you inquire, we'll supply you with a speedy quote. We target a quick turnaround for your 'live on the wall' date.

As ‘Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) approved installers’ using approved hardware, we can support businesses in understanding eligibility and assist with applications for available grant schemes. We also help manage the associated documentation to simplify the process and reduce the administrative burden.

Can I use solar power to charge my car?

Yes our EV + Solar Bundle is designed to prioritise surplus solar energy from your panels, helping you make greater use of self-generated electricity when available. This can reduce the amount of grid electricity needed to charge your EV.

What is a "DNO application" and why does it affect my commercial timeline?

For larger commercial installations, we must apply to the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to ensure eligibility, and that the local grid can handle the increased load. While GGRS targets a rapid installation turnaround, the final date often depends on the DNO’s response time. Our team manages the application process on your behalf to minimise delays.

How do you ensure an EV charger doesn't overload my building’s power supply?

We install hardware with built-in load management capability. This intelligent technology monitors the overall electricity demand of your home or business and can adjust rates in real-time; if usage spikes elsewhere in the building, the charger automatically adjusts its speed to reduce the risk of overloading your supply.

Can I use my own software to manage our company’s charging points?

Yes. Our OCPP-compliant chargers (Open Charge Point Protocol), are "platform-agnostic". They are designed to integrate with a wide range of existing third party energy management and billing platforms helping businesses avoid being fettered to a single supplier. For clients who don't have their own system, we also offer a white-label approach to match your brand.
